On 6 May 2020, Nixu announced that in order to prepare for the COVID-19 recession restructuring and a cost reduction program was required across Nixu Corporation. The company started related co-operation negotiations in Finland to reduce personnel of maximum under 10 employees and to temporary lay-off all Finland employees, up to 90 days, either full-time or part-time.
As a result of the completed co-operation negotiations, the number of personnel will be reduced by five employees. The temporary lay-offs will last on average, two weeks per person. The extent and duration of the temporary lay-offs may vary depending on the work situation of the employees. A large portion of the need for lay-offs is realized through voluntary holiday arrangements, such as the exchange of holiday bonus for time off. The temporary lay-offs will be implemented during 2020.
