Infrastructure Development
It is challenging to create TCP/IP-based services, which consist of a number of different needs that are met by solutions of different vendors. When the requirements are not met by single firewalls or servers or other networking devices, an integration of solutions in hardware, software and networking space is needed.
We call this activity infrastructure development. Typical projects in infrastructure development include the creation of highly scalable parallel solutions to the interior and edge of service provider and enterprise networks.
We have long experience in design and implementation of many crucial Internet infrastructure systems, both in the most developed countries and emerging markets.

With our highly experienced design team we can deliver a network that complies with many of the security standards required for businesses today, such PCI DSS and/or ISO27001 (previously known as BS7799 and ISO17799.)
Nixu is an independent security vendor who can design and implement solutions with different technologies and operations modes. The customer may need a point solution to a specific problem or a comprehensive turnkey solution.
In turnkey solutions, the whole solution needs to be designed, implemented and operated with an option to be transferred later to the customer - complete with the technologies, processes and the trained staff. We have long experience in these so-called build, operate, and transfer projects.
Internet Service Provider (ISP) infrastructure
To run their business ISPs need a technical infrastructure to provide their customers Internet access (e.g. dial-up, DSL), DNS-, hosting- and other services. The ISP billing systems are the key business part of the infrastructure.
We can use either Open Source or commercial systems for ISP. Nixu has developed a number of ISP platforms for customer use.
The International Gateways
We have built numerous international gateways for internet exchange, each with custom requirements.
The benefit of Internet Exchanges (IX) is to reduce the cost of the transit services both within the country and outside the country by facilitating exchange with different service providers and customers and to increase the capacity of traffic by physically interconnecting networks.
All of the internet gateway systems must be very reliable and cost-effective at high bit-rates. This is determined by the system architecture, design, implementation and operative processes. In a build, operate and transfer mode, the culture of systems maintenance and refinement is taught to the customer staff by our experienced consultants.
Filtering services can be added to the gateways for the management of undesirable contents.
