Networks and Information Security 15 – 16 April
Nixu oy participates once again in the Networks and Information Security event which is held on 15 – 16 April 2008 at the conference hotel Meripuisto in Espoo.
The National Emergency Supply Agency's CIO Erja Saraste and Nixu's information security specialist Pekka Sillanpää will give a presentation on how security development was integrated from the beginning into a software development process in the Huovi portal project.

Application Development and Architecture Event 12 – 13 March
The annual Application Development and Architecture Event will be held 12 – 13 March 2008 at the conference hotel Meripuisto in Espoo. Invited by Nixu, SSH’s Petri Lillberg (Vice President, R&D and Product Management) will speak about multi-platform test automation. Lillberg will discuss for example the special requirements of secure telecommunications product family, a test automation system which supports several software platforms as well as the savings and other benefits generated by test automation. Business & IT Continuity 11-12 December 2007
The conference will be held at the Congress and Education Center Meripuisto in Espoo, and it presents the experiences that domestic and foreign companies have had regarding business continuity planning and risk management solutions. The event also presents the latest development in safeguarding the operations of companies’ critical systems. The main themes are for example business continuity planning, business risk assessment and management as well as recovery planning. The event is chargeable, in Finnish and intended for those in charge of business continuity planning and the functionality and security of technical infrastructure. EMC Forum 25 October 2007
Nixu's Timo Vehviläinen will discuss PCI audits at the EMC Forum at Espoo Dipoli 25 October 2007. The event is open to all and it presents widely the latest solutions and experiences of managing information and information security infrastructures (in Finnish).

Security of SW Applications 19-20 September 2007
MeritoForum organizes a seminar concerning the information security of applications in late September in Papà Giovanni. The theme is discussed widely from different viewpoints. Identity and Access Management 4-5 September 2007
The event will be held at the Conference Hotel Meripuisto in Espoo, and it offers practical ideas and advice about access and identity management. The main themes are for example access management between organizations, user identification and authentication and cost and resource savings achieved with access and identity management. Nixu’s Kim Westerlund will be present during the entire conference to discuss the development possibilities of identity management. Pasi Koistinen spoke at the Technopolis Business Breakfast event June 14th
Nixu's Pasi Koistinen spoke at the Technopolis Business Breakfast event on Thursday, June 14th at 8.30 - 9.00 a.m. on the subject "Information Risks and Operation Continuity". He discussed where the requirements of information security originate, how information risks are managed and how problems can be prepared for.
The Business Breakfast events was intended for the employees of Technopolis and Technopolis Ventures' customer organisations. Other participants were charged 50€ per person (+VAT). Networks and Information Security Event 25-26 April (Finnish)
Nixu took part in the Networks and Information Security Event which was held 25-26 April 2007 at the Conference Hotel Rantapuisto in Helsinki for the third time. Nixu’s Jonna Särs spoke on the first conference day about "10 ways to get more out of information security audits". The themes of the event were administrative information security, information security policies and judicial issues. Also secure remote use, network technologies and the information security and malicious software of the service infrastructure were discussed. The conference was chargeable and it was targeted on developmental and technical management as well as those in charge of information security and business continuity.

The spring seminar of the Institute of Internal Auditors Finland 19 – 20 April 2007 (Finnish)
Nixu took part in the spring seminar that was organized 19 – 20 April 2007 at the Hotel Haikon Kartano by the Institute of Internal Auditors Finland. The seminar was technical and aimed at internal auditors, information system auditors and risk management professionals. The seminar was arranged for the 22nd time, it was chargeable and it discussed the industry’s best practices now and in the future.
Timo Vehviläinen, who is responsible for the PCI audits at Nixu, gave a presentation on the PCI information security standard and related best practices and experiences.

Application Development and Architecture Event at Kalastajatorppa 13-14 February 2007 (Finnish)
Heikki Roikonen (Head of Sales, Software Development) from Nixu and Juha Laitinen (Head of R&D, Platform Development) from Nokia Networks spoke at the Application Development and Software Solutions track on the subject "Subcontracting Co-operation in Demanding Software Development and Maintenance" (in Finnish). GITEX 2006, Dubai, November 18-22, 2006
Nixu participated in Gitex 2006 exhibition in Dubai. GITEX is one of the top IT Fairs in the world and Nixu has a long tradition there. Our theme was the local audit expertice for the new Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for the merchants, service providers and financial institutions. Business & IT Continuity conference in Helsinki, December 12-13, 2006 Nixu participated the Business & IT Continuity Conference in Helsinki on December 12th and 13th as one of the partners of the event. Payment Card Industry Seminar, Helsinki, September 6, 2006
Nixu and RSA Security held a breakfast seminar about PCI Auditing on Wednesday 6th September. Luottokunta's Security Manager Jani Kallio, Nixu Ltd's Director Jonna Särs and RSA Developer Solutions Group's EMEA area's Sales Manager Alexandre Stervinou held presentations at the seminar.
